Mail a Monkey™ Tube Reuse & Repurpose Ideas
Our Mail a Monkey tubes are made from recycled materials. We ask that you help keep them out of the landfill by reusing and repurposing them...
We are a very eco-conscious bunch. We minimize the paper we use at Mail a Monkey™ headquarters and reuse or recycle all boxes and other shipping materials. Please join our efforts and find a way to reuse your Mail a Monkey™ tube. You can use the whole tube with both caps OR cut part of the tube off to make it shorter OR cut it in half and you have two topless containers. We have provided a few of our favorite ideas (and some photos) from the Mail a Monkey™ lab and our customers below...
1. Pasta Storage
Fill it with raw pasta like spaghetti, macaroni, rigatoni, rotini, etc.
2. Art Supplies
A storage container for art supplies including markers, crayons, pens, pencils, etc.
3. Desktop Pen & Pencil Holder
Cut it in half and you have two pen & pencil holders.
4. Cosmetic Containment
Fill it with cotton balls or other bath and beauty products.
5. Snack Storage
Fill it with chips, popcorn, cookies or other items that you don't want to get crushed while camping or road tripping. The tubes are virtually air tight, so goodies stay fresh.
6. Workbench Storage
Fill it with miscellaneous nails, screws and other findings.
7. Lake & Beach
The tube is virtually water tight and it floats! Fill it with things that you want to stay dry while out on the boat or paddling the river!
6. Sporting Goods
Fill it with sports equipment such as golf balls, tennis balls or other sporty items.
6. Pet Food Storage
When we go camping, we put our dog's food in the tube because it is virtually air tight so other critters don't smell the food. When we have to board our pets, we send them to the kennel with their food in a tube!
We are always on the lookout for new and innovative ways that our customers are repurposing their tubes. Please send us any ideas, images and/or videos that you have of ways that you are using your Mail a Monkey™ tube and keeping it out of the landfill!
TIP: Put the rougher end that you cut into the cap if you are making half containers.
